More about Fresh Start

            

Fresh Start Family Home Full Day Preschool is a DHS licensed facility for up to 7 children. Our staff includes a teacher and an assistant. Our home sits on a 1/2 acre  in the Twin Oaks subdivision near State Hwy 66 and Flint Road on the outskirts of Claremore.

 

Fresh Start is well equipped, both inside and out.

 

Inside, children enjoy group time, art, music, math and science in the preschool classroom. They also enjoy centers, such as reading, family living, workshop and tools, manipulatives -  including blocks, puzzles and more. In addition, we also have a full library of books and educational videos. We use age appropriate curriculum and materials based on applied behavior analysis. We use a combination of 3 different curriculums as is age appropriate.

 

Outside, our students also enjoy climbers, swing-sets, sand boxes, sports equipment, trikes and a fully equipped patio with art and play kitchen area.

 

We teach the children to enjoy a variety of foods, emphasizing fresh fruits and vegetables where possible, as well as whole-grains.

 

Our recent field trips have included the Tulsa aquarium, a recreation center, movies, parks, restaurants with play-areas and attending The Wiggles concert.  We have also visited Wings of Wonder, a museum and the Tulsa zoo.

 

 

 

Meet our teacher and family

 

Hello! I’m Anna Wilson, owner and operator of Fresh Start Family Home Full Day Preschool.  My husband, Dan, and I have been married for 30 years and we have 3 children. (Dan works from home and is a computer programmer/analyst. He assists me in the areas of transportation, food preparation, cleaning,  etc).

 

 I have an Associate of Arts degree with emphasis on early childhood education and hold a current Teachers Child Development Permit from the state of California.

 

I have worked with children off and on for over 20 years, teaching 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 year classes at large centers and have owned a registered family home child care in Texas and now in Oklahoma.

 

We relocated from California 6 years ago. While in California, I began specializing in teaching children with special needs, and worked as a one-to-one aide in the mornings while also substitute teaching for state preschools in the afternoons.

 

 

Our Location

 

We are located near the intersection of State Hwy 66 and Flint Road in Claremore— a great  location and, for parents, right off the commute to and from Tulsa!

For the protection of our students, we only provide our address to the designated family members of our students, and those scheduling a visit.  Please call us at the number below for directions if you would like to schedule a  visit to our school.  ID is required.
